Valentines Day Alone But Loved!

Well, Valentines Day alone isn't really as bad as one would think. Here's how a Valentines Day alone looks like. I spend most days alone with the dogs and it isn't as bad as it sounds. 

I have lots to do, so I really didn't give Valentine's Day too much thought. It's had to avoid, however, so on Saturday, my sister came over and she brought Thai food. We ate in, had a glass of wine and watched Chocolat...with Johnny Dep. This was a respectable start for Valentine's DAY. It motivated her to fill her Net Flix que with Johnny Dep films. I may do the same...

   

So, if you count the day starting at 12 p.m., then you are awake watching Prime Suspect after your sister leaves. This goes on until 3 a.m. because you had a cup of coffee at about 8 with your sister while chatting about how undisputably great Johnny Dep really is. Let's just all stop and think about that for a moment. It may not have been the coffee, now that I think about it. Ok, so then once you go to bed at 3 a.m....alone... you read for about a half hour....until you realize it's probably 4 in the morning. I try to fall asleep and doze off until day break.

I fight for more sleep to no avail. I get a call and let it ring through to the answering macing at about 8 or so. I had already given up any thoughts of church, so I tried to rest. By 9 I get up and make coffee, listen to my answering machine and learn I have flowers being delivered and where the H do I live.

So, I call back and give him the correct address... happy that I am actually getting flowers. I sit and sip my coffee while making great progress on my 1,000 piece puzzle. I determined to fill lots of spaces up and do this for at least an hour making great progress. Then at about 10 a.m., I feed the dogs. They have been patient, as they are fed usually before 9, but I had a fitful sleep, so i didn't really care.

 As I worked on my computer, I saw Mr. D sent me an E Card too! So cool.... It made my day. I feel loved!

I spent the afternoon reading in the sun on my bed. Met with Dick on a few business items, came home exercised, watched the Tudors... a fitting finish for a nice Valentine's Day...alone, but loved!
