Taking Selmer to the Conservatory

Dennis came home and this photo of a lovely flower we saw at the conservatory pretty much sums up his first night home.

Selmer was his wonderful self. We came to his place and he was putting a puzzle together with others in the community room. He was so happy to see us. He jumped up and said..."Ok, let's go." We put on his coat and hat and went out to the car. We had decided to go to lunch and then to Como Park Conservatory where they had a Winter Flower Show. It was about 40 degrees, so that made the day even more lovely. The flowers and greenery were beautiful. The air fragrant with bright colored blossoms. We even got to see a sloth maneuvering around a big old tree.
Selmer enjoyed his time out of the place. He says it is like a jail, but he understands why he has to be there.
Everyone tries to see him often, he just doesn't remember. Doug and Greg and Tom are there a lot. Even Adam brings Buddy there. Selmer loves Buddy and gets such a kick out of that dog.

Other topics of note:
I took my first Tai Chi lesson on Saturday. Just before I had to leave to pick up Mr. D from the airport. I told him about my first lesson and asked if he'd like to see my Tai Chi. He said, what? you mean Tight Cheeks? Apparently one of his fishing buddies who liked to drink tried to show him some of his Tai Chi moves at 3 in the morning while in his briefs and three sheets to the wind. Your dad as we all know how he loves his sleep, wasn't that impressed. Now he not only doesn't go fishing with the guy anymore, but he also hates Tai Chi and has renamed it "Tight Cheeks." Fine by me. I won't get any coaching from Mr. D. that's for sure.
