Playing Catch UP on my life

I am delinquent on my blogging. My three computer crashes, subsequent stress, trip to Lasha's where her wireless was down. I am tethered to their local network, sitting with cords everywhere...but at least it works.
Spent $8 getting online at Starbucks...got some work done, but killed me to pay for wireless. In the words of my dear frugal grandson, "That's dumb they charge for wireless, Gramma."
Smart boy.
Anyway, I took a trip to Grandma Ethels last week. She was a bit out of sorts, pissed at still being alive, but looks really good. I got there at about 5 on Saturday after leaving a bit late because of the ice storm. She used to be worried about my well being driving there, now it doesn't matter how hellish the drive for me, she just doesn't want me there late. "I go to bed at 5:30."
What? Why so early, I ask. Well, it seems she's awake at 1 or so having trouble breathing. She gets up and does a lung treatment, then sleeps or sits up the rest of the night. Mostly I think she sleeps, but she won't admit to that. When I was there, true to form she gets up at about 3 a.m. (tells me she was up since 2 at least). She wanders into the living room where I am sleeping on the couch and tells me to go back to sleep. I said ok and did. She did her treatment, and as I drifted off, she was finishing up. I was awake enough to hear her fall off back to sleep. She and I slept till about 9 a.m. So, it was a good night for her.
I asked her if she liked my Christmas present I got her. She said yes. "I am saving it...you know me."
So, I said, why are you saving it? I think you should wear it. The next day she put it on and it looked so lovely on her. The warm red sweater and matching knit pants warmed her up after her sleep in the chair.
I enjoyed our visit again and of course she insisted I call her when I got back home. "You know how I worry about you."

Ok, while at home I had the pleasure to spend time with the dogs. King and Fletcher. I share this video with you. We always laugh at these two fight over their chew toys. When one leaves the room, the other takes the bones and puts them at his side. Same when the other one leaves. It's sort of a dance.

Last video: I am in Missouri helping Lasha with her kids while she attends her husband's graduation. He's now a special agent. Of what? Well, we're not sure...but we have always considered him special.
Anyway... here's our lovely Clara Ann learning to crawl. She's such a doll, as are all the Steward kids.

I miss Shammai and Jada and Dennis. But I hope the separation results in a house in Arizona...it will be worth the wait.
