With The SHTWERTS, less one.
Just have to share my time with the Shtwerts. It is always great to visit, I have my own bedroom to hide in complete with a TV and Fox news.
Clara is now on solid foods, and loves it. She is teething too. She laughs for her Jamajama, which delights me. She is a quite soul...tender Rose is what I renamed her. She's sensative to loud noises...how can this even be?
Ava loves her craft time...she paints, cuts, colors, and likes to make things out of playdough. I recall when all the girls were small that I made playdough out of flour and water and salt. Anyway, here we have a lovely nest made of playdough. It won the best overall. Everything's a competition.
The kids did Halloween too while we were here. Lots of adults dressed up taking the kids around...oddly enough.

Big D joined us for a few days and Lasha and the kids loved that. He bought dominoes and Gabe Dominated...sometimes without cheating...although he always tried. He and I played and we tied and so gwe added up dots on our remaining dominoes. My number was 84 and after a few seconds of thought, he said he had 89. thinking the highest number won! So, not only did he cheat, he lied too! Nice. :-) Gabe claims he actually had 49...so he really did win... which I believe because I know how much he likes to win so he had to make up a number greater than mine... Funny! When Grandpa left, he asked him to please let the women win once.
We also saw his last football game, his team being crushed by yes....the CRUSHERS. They opposing team all apperaed to be in high school and playing against 3rd graders...not quite fair. Gabe was sad for a bit, but came around. Ava of course is her cheerful, happy self. She is the happiest and most aggrarious child I know.
We then went to the WWI museum. Which is in KC. Not sure why, but it was definitely sobering. We learned why it started and how the US got involved. Interesting history day for us all. Woodrow Wilson actually got us into the war and created a huge propaganda campaign to promote it. It seems that our present administration learned a few things from both Wilson and Hitler. Americans were isolationists and selfishly stayed out of the fray...while profiting from manufacturing of arms to sell to the Brits and their allies. Germany sunk a number of passenger ships killing Americans...
We are going to church this a.m., and I leave tomorrow.
