My New Friend.

I miss him already. It appears the owl outside our balcony in Arizona is a Great Horned Owl. Big D looked it up and that solved the mystery.
It was so cool. One early afternoon I heard a commotion in a tree in the back yard. Birds were screeching and flapping and I looked outside and they were attacking something... a cat? Hmmm maybe... What was it?
It was Great Horned Owl! This same owl. He was 18 inches tall...at least. He would turn his head and look at me when I came out on the balcony. But he didn't fly away. He was there for at least three days. I think he left because I left. We had a connection.
We heard lots of coyotes too... they were on the prowl. It's fun living among the wildlife right in the middle of Scottsdale.

The coyotes where making a lot o noise tonight. They where howling back and forth to each other.
Hopefully, the owl got hungry and flew off to kill something
