Odds and ends

Just got back from a quick trip to Des Moine to give away King to the Stewarts for the winter... On the way, the news about the best Full Moon in Decades moved me to take a few shots.
This was not good safe driving I might add, but the moon!

About a few weeks before we took some shots of Shammy and King playing outside. Shammai loves to play outside. He can stay out for hours. Grandpa built him a fort... Gabe says to me this weekend, well, it's really a Cave, not a fort. A fort is different, it has a lot of levels and is even different colors...and can have lots of levels... and he went on and on as only Gabe can do about how it's not really a fort. I just listened and enjoyed as we walked King around parking lots of Des Moine.

This winter MN sucks. Dennis gets a great gift from one of his clients each year, a bulb that actually grows in my window and flowers just about the time you think you want to die with the terrible cold winter weather. It's a beautiful flower...such a great gift! It's spring when spring isn't even close to being here...

And I made meat pie tonight. I am about prepared to eat the whole thing. It's too good.
The recipe:
Spelt Crust: Look it up. Any crust works.
Sirloin steak cut in small squares.
Mushrooms.
Onions chopped. Fry the meat add onions, one can of diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Add dried onions, oregano and pepper. ...Put sliced cheddar or parmeson on the crust. Pour the meat mixture in. Add cheese on top...then the crust on top. Bake for 40 minutes. And eat the whole thing. Wipe meat off shirt. Gain 5 pounds.

It looks good. Bring some to AZ in your purse. I will have a meat pie judging contest.
What up with the spelt crust?
Spelt is a mixture of sawdust and gravel isn't it?
