More Thoughts On The Great Sarah Palin

Regarding My Hero: The Great Sarah Palin:
I heard a CNN reporter today who actually said she didn't think it was right for Palin to put her daughter through this, accepting the nomination while the daughter was pregnant.

Well, it's obvious she just has no idea... As a career woman, volunteer and mother of 4 amazing adult women...each of who surprised me once or twice in their growing up... and still surprise me daily....here's how I see the conversation going with a pregnant 17 year old and her soon to be U.S. VP mother...
Daughter: "Mom, I'm pregnant."
Mom: "Holy crap. Wait a minute while I take this call from Senator McCain."
Daughter: "WTH: Mom! This isn't about you."
MOM: "Holy crap...he wants me to be his VP."
Daugher: "I'm keeping the baby. And getting married."
MOM: "Oh double crap.... I'm taking the job...Ok. Hang on... I need to go outside and shoot a few rounds of lead."
2 hours later:
Mom: "OK honey. You know there's going to be lots of crap come down as the nominee for VP of the U.S. ... and now there's a baby on the way..."
Daughter: "If you can handle being VP, I can handle this... But, you know how busy I will be...OK... hang on... I need to go out and shoot a few rounds of lead."
Mom: "Well, hey,we're in this together... I will always be there for you. We can get through this...remember the crooks in Alaska I bested? By the way, how far along are you?"
Daughter: "5 months."
MOM: "You mean I am going to be a grandma in 5 months? That brings us close to January. I could be soon sworn in as VP and a new grandma at the same time? Halelujah!. Let's both go out and shoot a few rounds."
Daughter: Ok, Mom. Let's go.
MOM: "You can handle this, right?"
Daughter: "Of Course."
Daughter: "You can handle this, right?
Mom: "Of Course."
Both: "Let's go."

That's about how I see it going down... It takes a mix of courage and mercy to live a life of strength...That's the Sarah Palin way. That's the American Way.
