This Is MN Finest

The Minnesota State Fair is really the best in the nation...so we've been told.

I can't argue. I love it. I now am hooked on the Grand Stand. I forget sometimes it's the same place I gave my heart to Jesus in 1974 at Billy Graham Crusade. Two days later, Cowboy walked down the same steps. HMMM. Interesting that 33 years later I am at a Johnny Lang concert...
But there's so much more to the MN state fair: Deep Fried Spam on a stick and ... Deep Fried bacon on a stick. Nice. Only in Minnesota. And then there's the drunk boys...sweet as sugar...we met who helped us find empty seats to take. God Bless them. The concert was well...less than good, but we had a great time anyway.

The State fair is deffinately interesting. When you walk around you catch your self staring at other people who really should not have left the house dressed that way. There is a booth at the fair that just sells buckets of chocolate cookies. You should see all the chubby people lined up to get a warm bucket full of cookies.
There should be a law against selling cookies to someone who just plain looks over weight. The Johnny Lang and the Buddy Guy concert really sucked. Buddy guy is full of himself and did not finish one song. He actually walked around the stage not playing or added a not or two when he felt liked it. Buddy Guy - you suck. Johnny Lang did only a little better. He quit early and let all his band members do solos.
Most of his big hits he did not play. Ok, but, BIG Head Todd and the Monsters performed as you would expect a paid band to perform at a concert. I believe that the drummer is Big head Todd. His noggin looked to be larger than the rest of the band members.

Aren't you all from Benton County? I too am from Benton County - another thing Naar and I have in common!!
Let me tell you - the Benton County Oregon Fair is a sight to be seen. We do not have the fine cuisine of Big Fat Bacon, but we do have lots 'o people who have crawled out of moss-covered rocks that are a sight to behold. These creatures venture "into town" via Hwy 20 from the nether regions of towns out "in the woods" where local corner stores sell magazines with titles such as "High Times". And I think you know what that is getting at....

Yes, Benton County OR rules!!

I miss "county fairs" so bad. I used to love going to the fairs, riding the rides, eating fattening doughnuts and making trouble.
