Labors of love
We are once again at it. Spring yard work has overtaken us and we are making preparations for a beautiful yard. Mission accomplished. All reading this blog are welcome to come and witness for self. We trimmed, we planted, we washed and sprayed and mowed and clipped and swept and shoveled and pounded and stirred and poured and piled.
It was a full weekend. Cowboy mowed, trimmed and pruned, repaired and cleaned the downspouts, I planted purple, red and white petunias and impaients, I washed windows and the garage floor, sprayed the pool yard, Jada mopped the pool cover, Dad sprayed and mopped it over again, three times he claims. I cleaned the horse barn.... again. I vaccumed the floors and washed them with human kind's greatest invention: the swisher.
Shammai ate popsicles and wandered around. Whenever I wondered where he was I just listened for the bouncing ball... he just can't stop himself from playing with balls. We have balls of all kinds, large ones for Chinese dodgeball, soccer balls, basketballs, baseballs, small rubber balls all kinds of balls and they all get a workout when he's here.
Later in the day, Jada and I washed the dogs after their escape, we moved furniture into storage, I dusted and cleaned the pool house. Finally, we bar b qued T bone steaks, ending an exhausting weekend with an evening of conversation in a very quiet and soothingly clean pool house.
