I'm singing again.

I stopped singing to my favorite tunes a few months back. It really bothered me a lot. I couldn't find the music. I have always loved to wail away, and I didn't care who heard it or liked it. It was from my soul.

Well, a few months ago, when I got my peg leg... that limp, that unbalance feeling that things are just not right. I stopped singing. A peg leg will do that to you. You're out of balance. Things don't feel right. It's as if the whole world is at a tilt and all you can think about is your peg leg. There are no songs to sing. The soul is cold, hard, dead.

Every so often I felt like a pinball in one of those noisey old pin ball machines and I'd get stuck there and the bells ring and scream tilt. I would need someone to come along and nudge me, like when you had to hit the side of the pinball machine to get the ball loose and free again. Not sure why that imagery comes to me... interesting topic for my shrink if I had one!

Well, dang. You just have to have more faith than that. And I am not going to live any other way. That's just that.

My new motto: Believe in Yourself, Have Faith In God. Surround Yourself with people who believe in you and have faith in God. Hmmm. Well, there you go. And be stubborn about that.

And so... things are good and I am singing from my soul again. I actually sang to my IPOD a few times and just felt great.

And then, not sure what this has to do with anything but thought I'd blog it anyway.

Tonight I learned about Feng Shui. Pronounced: Fung Shuea. Fink Shey. Funk Shite. Freakin Finkin. I learned it from a home stager, who will be coming to my house tomorrow to help me stage my house for selling. She's awesome and I can't wait to have her tell me how to stage my home. I will take before and after pictures so you can see what I mean. Then I am taking her with me to Washington, because I like what she does with a room so much...

So this if you haven't, find a good Feng Shui stager and have her do her thing in your house. Or not. And...here's another bit of advice from my mom on selling houses... She was half kidding, though: I told her we had our house for sale and she asked me if i buried St. Joseph yet. Apparently my sister and a number of my mom's friends have sold their homes due to the fact they buried a statue of St. Joseph in their yard. Well... feng Shui or buried statue. I will do the feng shui cause it makes sense... really, but i have to think long and hard before I bury a statue. Besides the ground is frozen and I am sure he'd resurface in the spring.

Life is good again. God is good.

EDITED VERSION. Sans the cussing. MY GRANDKIDS ARE NOW READING... SORRY.
