The MN State Fair

We attended the state fair for the first time in a while. I heard that MN has the best state fair in the nation. It probably is because of the carnival like atmosphere and the drones and dwarfs that find their way to civilization once a year. My first surprise was the message on the rotund T-shirt of a middle aged attender, "Wenches Want Me." His wife, numero Uno wench was close behind him, equally as rotund and homely to boot. This is the beauty of our State Fair. We traversed round the grounds in 95 degree heat enjoyed Blue Moon beer and fair food. There's deep fried everything and odd people that haven't show their faces in public for decades everywhere. I even had a fat pig hiss "nice tits" at me under his breath. We had a Teja taco and a smoked Turkey Leg and Pork Chop on a stick. The highlight however was the the concert in the grandstand. Both your dad and I gave our hearts to Christ in that stadium, and now we listened to Foreigner, Styx and Def Lepard concert that we talked each other into attending. The seemingly normal people around us at the concert were not normal afterall. The guy next to us seemed nice enough, but became drunk as a skunk and added a joint to the evening mix of drugs. The large man and his chubby girlfriend blocked our view. We left at about song 3 of the main event as our ears were ringing and we'd heard just about enough. it was a pleasant labor day, a nice convertible ride on a late summer day.
