Bad News For Good News

I was listening to the radio on my way to work after lunch, (something I seldom do... radio, not lunch). The headlines were: Alcohol Deaths Down Nationwide. Well, that would seem to be good news, but oh, no. Not to our fine American media sorts it would seem. That seemingly good news was followed by the states in which deaths have risen, Iowa and Utah being two of them. Well, now. If the lead is that Alcohol Deaths are down nationwide, the next question I would have is which states improved? Why didn't they follow that good news with a list of states whose alcohol related deaths declined? Makes me want to go out and have a drink.

And, this just in from the Puget Sound. It seems a radio network for women run by a man has not quite succeeded in getting financial backing. Well, another conspiracy ladies? Or just a bad idea?
