Bad Customer Service Was it...Or Not?

Ok. I could be offended, but well... I'm not sure. You decide.
My trainer and I went to our favorite watering hole for supper last night. Well, as I haven't really told anyone I have been doing a 28 day detox, which excludes EVERYTHING edible one might want to consume and allows only stuff no one else can stand to consume.
It's a liver cleansing...more on that later.
Well, I eat out a lot, twice yesterday, which means I have to ask for personal favors (be nice) from the waitress. Sometimes I admit to it being just damn hard. It's genetic I swear (we could write a book). I don't intend to be rude, it's just that all I want them to do is wait on me, take my order, bring me water and food. I do not want them to be my best friend or menu guide, or counselor. I can read, I just can't go back in their kitchen and cook. So they have to listen, relay my order and bring me something to eat. That's it. I even pay them really well to do that simple task.

Anyway, I ate out at lunch and had them bring me a bowl of vegetables, no seasoning or butter please. No problem. The trough of silage came without fan fare. (Although that waitress really thought she worked at Outback and almost climbed on my lap.)
Last night however, my waitress, with whom we banter playfully each Tuesday night, took my odd order. The week before I asked her for no alfredo on my alfredo. Just chicken and noodles. She honestly looked like that just may take an act of congress. But came out pleased to have convinced the chef (that's what he calls himself) to withhold the white sauce. Last night, I just wanted brocoli and mushrooms steamed, no seasoning or butter and a bowl of wild rice. "That's all?" she said. Yes. That's all. Remembering last week, she replied, "you're sure needy." We all laughed, but then I thought, that was bold of her even in spite of the friendly banter. I tipped her generously, cause she really is a cutie and I want her to continue doing me favors. But I don't think I've ever been called needy by a waitress before. Is that or is it not, Bad Customer Service? You decide.

I just happen to read this relevant article on MSN. I don't think you were being needy. And, since you frequently have playful banter with the said waitress, I don't think she had bad intentions. But, I wasn't there.

Here's the relevant article:
