Lifting My Heavy Bike
Why you might ask is my bike lying on the ground?Well there are lots of reasons, but mostly the reason is because I lost my balance and/or slipped gently and my bike ever so slowly floated to the ground.
The first time I was learning how to drive, clutch and brake and just made it to Wagner's across the street. I had to run, wake Paul up, have him come out and like a damsel in distress, call a strong man for help. Well, it is heavy and I lifted wrong: see wrong way in photo... This man is trying to lift a heavy bike

with his arms. WRONG! I saw my instructor in class do it by turning around and pushing the bike up with leg and butt muscles. I tried it and it WORKED! I felt so empowered. So confident.Tonight...I seriously was at a dead end isolated road...I took a wrong turn in the country and was attempting (badly) to turn around through some grass. Bike killed, lost balance bike tipped... It didn't fall all the way to the ground. I panicked, but then thought... maybe I can do it like my instructor did. So, I straightened the wheel, turned around, bent down and lifted backwards. Worked like a charm! I was out of there in seconds. Well, as it apparently happens, it's nice to know that I can get out of a jam on my own. Well, it happens, but I hope not often. It's embarrassing besides.

It would have been worse if you did this in front of a packed restaurant. Actually, I pictured that happening but to someone I don't like right now and I laughed really hard in my head but then realized that sounds crazy.
Quit dropping your bike
if you drop your bike in front of a packed restraunt you take your lic. plate off and light your bike on fire. Just walk away.
