Nothing Better Than A Minnesota Snow Storm

No true blooded Minnesotan would not be ecstatic about this snow. It was delightful to me in every way, we had to scrape our windows, shovel our walks, wear our boots.
But WTF... It's as if the world was coming to an end and everyone was in junior high school. The news media, public schools, city maintenance crews, all those involved in decision-making had brain worms. It was amazing, you'd think 2 feet of snow was a natural disaster. Really now. It was embarrasing. The snow flew, but that's all. In spite of that, the mamby pambies decided schools would close, maintenance crews would stop working and people were sent to hunker down like the bomb was dropped.

Unreal. I even had our manager ask what to do if we shut down the following day and he brought the employee phone directory home just in case he had to call people to stay home. Holy shit.

The bank has never closed down. I have always made it in and all those around me. What is with people?

Anywhosit. It was a great week. Snow everywhere, more than three feet. It was the best.

I plan to go cross country skiing Monday at 7 at quarry park. They keep the lights on till 10 p.m.

I love it.

Sooo funny about Minnesotans asking if the bank will be closed due to snow. I remember when we drove to work bajaing over 3 feet snow drifts starting in October!

I think that the news media hypes these storms up before they even arrive. They conjur all kinds of hardships and put quiting into everyones minds. In the ole days you did not know anything and you were happy not knowing anything. This should be a lesson to us all about mind control by the media.
