Em and mE, A couple of swells...

It was a rough one, but someone had to do it...

We had a whirlwind trip. She insisted I climb a mountain the first day just hours after we got off the plane. She made us go all the way to the top...(I begged, cried and whined... but she insisted I go just around one more bend...) She pushed me hard... a guy who was doing the treck with extra weights stapped to his back joined the cheer leading... come on you can do it, you're almost there...!@@!@## Right...... Well, we did it. We were quite proud of ourselves actually. Until the two women came behind us bragging on how earlier that day they went sky diving... (It is all relative) We bought groceries, goat cheese and other stuff. She wanted to make me a Martini complete with halepeno stuffed olives. A first for me, you know. Straight Alcohol, not my favorite. Don't worry about me getting addicted to that.

Day 2: Em insisted on making me breakfast. It's a tradition for her and her husband Bob. So she made us an omlet, sausage and fresh fruit. It was delicious. Then, another hike.. this time milder in the Superstition Mountains. I told her I had always wanted to do that trip, she insisted I do it then. We did a nice 7 mile hike, as we didn't want to be late for our spa at 5 p.m., complete with massages by Nate...or was it Tate?... and Jason. We both had Body Wraps...not done by them, by the way...but still another first for me. I had a facial. A great place... will return.

Then, we came home got gussied up and went to the Blue Masabi... enjoyed a spider roll. What a great night. Very fun. We only pissed off one waitress. A record I think.

Next day, we were off to Wickenburg. Emily brought Cowboys and Indians magazine, in which I am in the photo in my pink bathing suit looking all buxom...and chubby actually... as I was watching a 30 year old first time mom jump into the river. The photo and story captured the essence of the weekend retreat. It was a feature on Cowgirl U and they used one of my photos...I had someone else take it obviously. In that mag, we saw an ad for Cowgirl UP, an art exhibit at the Cowboy Museum in Wickenburg... So off we went. I got turned around and ended up almost in Prescott. damn. So we had a nice drive on a perfect Sunday, blue sky and warm weather. No complaints. We then stopped at a ritzy mall that had jazz and wine tasting. We were hungry and ate at the Orange Donkey... or something like that. Em would leave later that day and I would finally get some rest! God has indeed graced me with another great, fun loving friend.

Monday and Tuesday: Doctors appts were all fine. One more to go... No photos available.
