Happy New Year

The skies are Minnesota Blue with crisp 18 degree air. A beautiful start to 2007.
Yesterday heard a good message about starting the new year, Reflect, Dream, Act.
Well, some of my new year's resolutions include doing more in service for those less fortunate (trip to Peru).

Dig in deeper in my areas of responsibility at work
Join a writers group
3 MBA classes
Get to size 6 with healthy eating and exercise
Compete in at least for horse shows
That's about it. Nothing earth shaking or grandiose. Pretty practical stuff.
Here's a random thought. Does this scare anyone else?
We heard a commentator mention this morning something about Al Gore being nominated for an Oscar for his Inconvenient Truth movie. OK, am I the only one who thinks it reminisent of
Nazi Propaganda? That's a bit far reaching, and the message is definitely different, but this is the first time since then that anyone has used movies to persuade on an
issue.

"All propaganda has to be popular and has to adapt its spiritual level to the perception of the least intelligent of those towards whom it intends to direct itself."
-Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf ("My Struggle"), Vol. I

Since when was Al Gore a scientifist? And um, while telling us how we need to change the way we live so we can save him and other leftists from the mythical Global warming he is flying around in a personal jet and driven around in SUV's.

I agree on the Al Gore thing.....It goes far beyond that for me...Our country bought hook, line and sinker the darwinism stuff and evolution that is taught in schools and it is all just a far fetched theory. We fell for abortion because no-one knows when life really starts and everyones pretty much is raised knowing that we should wipe religion complete out of all state, public and federal policies and practices. These are all common beliefs now that are taught as facts in schools. Heck....global warming is a piece of cake compared to what we have been eating the last 30 years.
