So, I'm in Atlanta

This is most likely one of my last longer trips to Atlanta, as I will have no reason to come here unless we do some business here. I have fond memories of this city, which I didn't care for at first at all. But, I think that I could have enjoyed it more had I explored more. I started to after a few years of visiting the kids, but now they are moving to plain vanilla KC. I actually can get around quite well here with good directions. I found a few great boutiques, purchased great designer sweaters and ate at some fun places. All memories of Lasha and Joe's first 5 years here. Now Joe is moving on and a Federal Agent, Lasha is yet to find work, but is looking to teach.

Right now, Gabe, Shammai and I are here with me in a king sized bed in the Laquinta in Douglasville. They have their motorcycle transformers and I am learning how to make a motorcycle into a man and vice versa. We are watching Animal Planet. They are bickering back and forth about this and that like Great Grandma Mary and Great Grandpa Vendel used to.
The boys are yawning, too tired to sleep. I am proud of their parents and the job they are doing rearing kind, loving boys in an unkind world. They are boys, though, lots of talk about farts and buggars.

So, tomorrow we leave. Gabe had a great birthday party today. He had more friends attend than Lasha expected. That was nice for him, although I am sure he won't even remember this day. But, we will and it was a good day.
It took me a while to get comfortable in Atlanta. I don't think i will do that again. I am starting to figure out some things early this time about KC.
