The past and present

I had supper with Jean Herges, my high school friend tonight at Tee Pee, one of Phoenix's best mexican restaurants. Pres. Bush was there apparently during some campaign stops. I of course got turned around when leaving and I almost made it to Tucson. Oh well. It was a nice night for a drive. I actually know two great authentic Mexican Restaurants I can take friends to.

Did some work today. Met with a company we're considering buying. Productive, but glad to say I will now have a few days off. Emily comes in at 11. Will do some final cleaning in the morning and then off to get her. Will do hiking, a trip to Sedona for a hike and photography and then back to Scottsdale to Culinary festival... then a facial on Friday and shopping. Lots of eating out, quiet time in the sun. I wonder if I can fit something else in? ARGH.

Learned a few things from Ms. Stewart today. She called and i enjoyed a nice long visit with her. I learned that Ava had an infection on her ass, that Lasha says I shouldn't expect anyone to comment on my blog and I should be happy with Naarah's and Adriel's friends commenting and of course Dennis as he sits a foot away from me in his chair. Finally, I learned I must again be the Butt of jokes in the Stewart house. My popcorn eating has stepped aside and my new nick name has been chosen: Double D. Well, guess Double C wasn't as funny. A full double C, mind you.

It was a nice day. I laid at the pool for an hour, read another chapter in Steven Brust book... and it is beginning to be enjoyable. It took perseverence and now I am in the groove and enjoying the story. The character is coming alive now.

Will finish my day with another Lost episode. I think I am hooked. Lasha recommends Click. I will try to rent it.

A trip to a mexican restaurant sounds good. I must be hungry. We here in MN can not sit outside for any reason lately. It is overcast and cold. The other day it was 27 degrees outside when I got up.It snowed again yesterday. Enjoy the weather while you can.
