Driving Ms. Krizmasha Kole

I took the motor home and pulled the horse trailer to Northern Wisconsin Friday morning. Thirty two feet and an additional 15 feet of horse trailer with at least 4000 pounds of horse flesh. I hate heights when I am driving and bridges are scarey. I had to cross over a long bridge to Superior Wisconsin with this large rig and precious cargo. Teresa talked me through it...My palms, feet and upper lip were wet with sweat. That was an amazing feat. We took 5 hours to get to Iron River. The bridge was precarious and the construction held us up at least an hour.

I showed in a real competition for the first time and got great scores, took away two first place ribbons, two seconds. Grooming the horse is uber important it turns out and the garb for the rider includes a jacket, white pants, black boots, what's called a stock tie, a short sleeved, collared shirt. Much ado about outward appearance. However, I felt like a competitor and during the ride I felt like I knew what I was doing. My horse was on too. My trainer says she performs for me. No one in the barn can make her do what I do. !!!!!
That is so cool I think. I have taken my time training her... She is very fast... But has beautiful movement. One judge looked up and told me she is a beautiful mare and asked me how old she is... Judges don't do that. She is wonderful. Her gait suspends in air as she trots. I got nice comments and it felt really great. Went to dinner with another trainer from another barn. My weekly lesson includes an hour riding lesson, supper and a glass of wine afterwards with lots of talking. Great fun.
I marveled that I was willing to clean up shit after an animal dumber than me.

All right let's get a few things straight here. first: Our motorhome is 32ft long but our house trailer is 27ft long and weights 3500 lbs empty. let alone any horses and gear in it.So, a person would be driving a 59 ft long rig that all told weights some where around 20,000 lbs. You are lucky that you made it across the bridge safely. You probably should let your husband drive this in the future. But, good going on your horse riding and showing.

Well... so good going on the trailer driving too Jan. Well so maybe pulling a horse trailer... with three huge horses just isn't all that tough. Not like I don't have power steering or power brakes. Come now.
Every woman should know how to do this and drive a stick shift. Listen up girls.
