Deductions for Cowgirl U

Ok. What the hell. I am conflicted and tempted all at once.
I recieved a tax receipt for my time at Cowgirl U. That means I can write off $1400 or more for my weekend to Cowgirl U. It is a non profit, you know. This causes me moral conflict... any thoughts out there?

Do you realize that #1: I can afford the trip...2: Had no idea it was a donation 3: Don't poor people and roads need that money more?

That is really going to be tough turning down... I will have to give to a gift to something more fitting my conscience. Really, a tax deduction for meeting a lifelong friend, having the time of my life and drinking corona till midnight? This is what is wrong with America today.
