The boys of summer

The four and five year olds are here. I remember now again why I love babies so much. they become four and five year olds. These boys are really sweethearts. To each other and to gramma jamma. They cuddle on the couch, I get to read them a book before bed... we do two, each gets their choice.
Shammai got up Saturday a.m., Gabe still asleep. He walks quickly past the front door on his way to the TV in the porch and says quietly, "Oh, it's a pretty day out."
Today at lunch, "This is good gramma." It was pizza rolls and mac and cheese. Of course it's good.
We put together Shammai's new motorcycle and now they have two motorized vehicles to drive up and down the driveway. They go to the barn and back all day.
A typical day: Get up about 8. Grandpa makes them oatmeal. They watch two cartoons and then it's outside to play. They drive up and down the driveway in the motorcycle and truck. A while later they get their trunks on and go in the pool. They have a snack, a peach and then a popsicle. Then back to pool. Then its getting close to lunch time. I make pizza rolls and mac and cheese. They dry off and then go up and down driveway some more... have lunch and then take a nap. It's been an exhausting morning for them.
We had a great weekend. I got some done around the house getting ready for the wedding. It's the count down now... have to get serious... am planning the layout of flowers now. Put the arbor together... looks nice.
