Some thoughts on my profession
I love what I do. It is a creative outlet that keeps me inspired. It's business communication, but I don't let that keep me in a box. I read an interview with a designer I thought worth repeating.
His quotes: "I know that in the end business rules, but business does not have to be so butt ugly. It only takes a little effort... (to not be medocre)."
Also,
"My objective with every job is to try to take it where no one else would ever go. To invent. To surprise myself, and hopefully my audience. Of course there are some jobs you do for God and some you do for money, and I approach every job as if it is for God, but when it turns into a money job, we get it done."

Also, I helped my professor from last semester edit three articles students wrote for publication... I kind of liked that. Not sure why he asked me... that was odd. But I liked the exercise. It inspired me to write. A friend told me that writing 1500 words a day is what some writers say should be done... I said I could maybe do 300. So, I am trying to do that. I have a sense of motivation to get published. One of the unfinished things I am doing.
