In Honor of Me

You all called me today to wish me a Happy Mother's Day. Right after I whined that no one called me yet. As a matter of fact, you all called at the same time and I had to put each of you on hold while I flashed to the next call.
Not sure why that warmed my heart, but it really made my day. Thanks. No cards needed, no gifts please. Just a heartfelt call to say I love you. That's all I needed today. However, my favorite daughter Jada gave me a card and a gift. ;-)
My day in honor of me: I went to church to see Angelo and Jada commit to train Shammy in the ways of the Christian Faith. While there I talked to lots of my special girlfriends... and felt loved. Then Jada, Shammy Angelo Dennis and I went to lunch.
I had a breve latte at Starbucks and a lemon bar.
I watched some very strange unmothers daylike movies: 11:14, Little Fish and Narnia... Going to watch Stay after I blog. Narnia sucked.
I did laundry, cleaned a bit, put the winter clothes from the closet away, ran for 2 miles with King and made your dad take me for a drive in the new Corvette.

I reminisced about each one of you:
Naarah, I remember you always as the center of all things. The world circled around you because you demanded it do so. I always and still do sit back in awe and just watch you not live life, but perform life.
Jada, I remember you cuddling up along side me on the couch. You always had to be the one tucked under my arm. You and I both watched in awe as Naarah performed. You made sure you were loved and hugged.
Lasha, I remember you waiting your turn for attention as the entertainer and the hugger snuck in first. You never demanded your needs be met, you would often just wait your turn, quietly melting our hearts with your big blue Ava eyes. You also contented, quietly waiting your turn.
Adriel, I remember you as being like an apendage. You never left my side. You were next to me always and I enjoyed every minute. You enjoyed being with me it seemed. I enjoyed you.
So I had a happy mothers day. So thanks everyone.
